WHY POWDER COAT?

Powder coating refinishes and restores any aluminum, metal or steel product to showroom condition. It’s a smarter and more economical alternative to traditional wet spray painting. It also guards against rust and corrosion far better than spray paint. Powder coating provides an extremely tough, durable, scratch-resistant finish that lasts much longer than traditional paint (typically up to 20 years!), and is available in virtually any color known to man. Perhaps best of all, powder coating is virtually pollution-free. It contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or carcinogens, as does paint. Good for your metal, good for your wallet, good for the environment.

WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

Powder coating is a metal finishing technology whereby a positively-charged acrylic or polyester-based powder is sprayed onto a negatively-charged surface. It creates a much stronger bond than traditional wet painting, seals imperfections better, eliminates rust and scaling, lasts longer (up to 20 years!), and looks incredible.

Perhaps best of all, powder coating is eco-friendly. It produces almost no harmful VOC’s, or volatile organic compounds. Nor does it produce any carcinogens like traditional spray paint, which are then released into the atmosphere. It’s virtually pollution-free.

WHAT CAN BE POWDER COATED?

The powder coat process is best suited to all-metal parts and assemblies, including steel and aluminum. Plastic, rubber, wood, ceramic, glass, fabric, and similar non-metallics are typically not coated. Similarly, soldered parts may not withstand the curing temperature. The following list includes some of the most commonly powder-coated items:

  • Auto Parts and Accessories
  • Motorcycle Parts and Accessories
  • Car Bodies and Car Cages
  • Lawn and Garden Furniture
  • Outdoor Patio Furniture
  • Home and Office Furniture
  • Home Appliances
  • Lighting Fixtures
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Displays and Shelving Systems
  • Animal Pens
  • Commercial and Residential Fencing
